Licensed home inspectors in Illinois are required to complete continuing education courses during each licensing period to keep their license current. Prior to renewing a license, the licensee is required to complete 12 hours of approved continuing education during the two year license period.
The continuing education courses are reviewed by the state board of home inspectors and approved for a certain number of continuing education credits.
